Germany House of Wheelchairs

A great stop off at this hospital in Germany, it is called the house of wheelchairs as there were so many of them! The hospital functioned as a care home and with such peaceful surroundings and beautiful views, it must have been a nice place to recover from illness. Set in the woods and stunning buildings inside with glorious details, some rooms were very creepy indeed. 

Up in the attic was one wheelchair sat in a ray of light with dust all around, in another a chair cemented to the floor. It had a strange atmosphere walking around alone, each room feeling different to the last.
It was built in the beginning of the 19th century on the site where there was once a monastery back in the 17th century, it has been left abandoned since the 1990’s with stories of a lady falling to her death in a wheelchair down some stairs, but I don’t know how true it is.
