Belgium Maison Viron

I’ve been to this house a couple of times in 2014. I really love it as it still contains things like the babies pram, a cot, photos, furniture and other items including a wedding dress. As the wallpaper hangs off the walls and the floors bow under decay, there was something very eerie and cold being inside. Especially strange was the giant bed in one of the rooms, we tried to figure it out, was it for a giant or perhaps lots of children all in one, I guess it will always remain a mystery. The house was built in the 1920’s and was home to a nobel baroness Isabelle Viron and was abandoned in 1993.

On my first visit, we sat for an hour in the dark waiting for the sun to come up to take photos, it felt so melancholy and my mind was alive with the sadness that the building made me feel.
