France Chateau Lumiere

This beautiful chateau has been on my list for a very long time, but due to its distance, it was always one that would take lot longer to get to, but in 2014 I finally made it, we drove hours to get there and was disappointed when we finally made it. Chateau Lumiere was built in the early 1900’s by a rich tobacco heir of Swiss decent. The Neo-Baroque style property is unspoiled hidden in a small french town. When the owner died in the 1950’s the Chateau was sold several times but is now left derelict. There is a Historical protection order on the property its future remains unknown. I hope it will be restored to its formal glory one day as currently there isn’t a huge amount of decay.
