India Agrasen Ki Baoli Step Well

The Baoli is a 60m long 15m wide step well that has 108 steps and exists in Delhi, India it was previously filled with water until the 1970s. There are many claims that it is haunted and that the black water makes people jump in and commit suicide; there was one report in 2007 in a Hindi newspaper. The site has been listed as one of the most haunted sites in India. The step well was not easy for me to find as it was hidden amongst surrounding buildings. I was taken there on a tuk tuk and wandered inside to marvel at the beautiful architecture. Pigeons and bats flew all around the red stones and I enjoyed climbing down the steps to explore. I’m not sure if it is haunted, but it felt very peaceful to me.
