USA Salem

In Autumn 2016, Karen and I went to Salem for a couple of days. Famous for the witch trials, I was interested in learning more about the history of Salem. In this time, we visited the witch house, the Old Burying Point Cemetery where the memorial stones were and Rebecca Nurse’s house. 

The Grimshawe House is an eerie abandoned house overlooking the Old Burying Point Cemetery on 53 Charter Street. In 1835, Dr Nathaniel Peabody moved in with his wife and five children. Now, the house known as Peabody House sits gloomy, with peeling paint and is, some say, haunted. Some have seen ghostly figures pass in the dark windows.
